In 2167 a nearby supernova’s explosion sent electromagnetic radiation that catastrophically damaged the Earth. 186 years later, a more destructive wave called The Second Wave is approaching the Earth. Computer genius 15 years-old Shima Katase’s dreams of going up into space is realized when she is selected to enter space piloting school on the Space Station Stellvia. During this trip she becomes good friends with Arisa Glennorth. After arriving at Stellvia, they, along with other selected pilot trainees, start school and also training.
