After Ichigo was zapped by a mysterious ray that merged her DNA with that of an endangered Iriomote wildcat, she became the super heroine Mew Mew girl, Mew Ichigo. Wondering why she was given these powers, Ichigo must track down the mysterious Mew Project and help locate the other four girls, Minto Aizaw, Retasu Midorikawa, Bu-Ling Huang, and Zakuro Fujiwara, who also had their genes merged with genes of a different Red Data animal, and also being Mew Mew girls process similar type of powers to protect the Earth from alien invaders named Deep Blue.
