For Ataru his arranged marriage with alien princess Lum, who now lives with him, changes his life. Whenever Ataru strays, Lum punishes him with electric shocks. They experience many hilarious situations and misadventures together, due to their unique relationship, that even gets their families, friends like Ataru’s childhood friend Shinobu, classmates, or others involved in them. When certain alien visitors like Lum’s friends are added, it gets crazier, especially with her younger cousin Ten who constantly fights Ataru. Despite the problems they experience, Lum and Ataru, who actually love each other, sometimes have intimate moments together.
