When new Soul Reapers and a new enemy appear, Ichigo goes into the battlefield with his Zanpakuto to protect his hometown of Karakura and those in need. The Soul Society, meanwhile, has seen a surge in the number of Hollows being destroyed in the World of the Living and separate reports of residents in the Rukon District going missing. The Seireitei, home of the Soul Reapers, is then attacked by the mysterious Wandenreich. Led by Yhwach, the father of all Quincies ,they declare war against the Soul Reapers. For Ichigo his final battle will begin.
